At Shayatee, shipping is built for furniture first—simple to understand, careful in handling, and $0 out‑of‑pocket for you. The price you see at checkout (charged in U.S. Dollars, USD) is the final amount you pay. We do not add any shipping, handling, packing, customs, duties, taxes, surcharges, or delivery‑appointment fees after checkout. Carriers will never ask you to pay at the door; if they do, don’t pay—contact us and we’ll resolve it.
Many of our items are solid wood and heavy. Every box uses thick outer boards, dense foam, and corner guards. Large pieces are strapped and marked This Side Up. Orders move via trusted parcel carriers or furniture freight partners. From checkout to delivery, Shayatee shows a clear price, a realistic timeline, and careful handling at every step—all costs on us.
Shayatee also offers fashion and small lifestyle items. Fashion pieces ship in protective mailers or cartons and typically move faster through parcel networks. Mixed carts (furniture + fashion) may ship in separate boxes or from different facilities at no extra charge.
Where We Ship
Shayatee ships to the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, Canada, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal.
We can’t deliver to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, or certain remote territories (for example: Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and select outlying island regions in Europe and Australia). A street address (home or business) is required so solid‑wood pieces can be handled correctly. Our checkout and shipping settings reflect these exclusions.
Carriers & Service Levels
Depending on destination, parcel size/weight, and network capacity, Shayatee uses UPS, FedEx, USPS (for select small U.S. parcels), and DHL Express for international routes to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, and Canada.
Furniture / large or heavy items (for example, solid‑wood tables) may ship by freight truck with a liftgate for curbside delivery (driveway/curb only—no in‑home placement). Freight carriers usually call or text to set a delivery window. Shipments may be palletized and shrink‑wrapped for protection. Some high‑value shipments may require an adult signature in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, and Canada. If a signature is required, your tracking email will show this. Any carrier appointment or signature fees are covered by Shayatee.
Processing Time vs. Shipping Time
Processing time covers final quality checks, packing, and labeling before a carrier pickup.
Shipping time is the carrier’s transit time after pickup.
Business days = Monday–Friday, U.S. public holidays excluded. International routes (UK, FR, DE, ES, IT, BE, PT, AU, CA) may need extra time for customs/security inspections. Severe weather, local holidays, strikes, or carrier backlogs can add 1–3 business days. Address changes after dispatch can delay delivery; we cover any carrier re‑route or re‑delivery charges.
Cut‑off: Orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) begin processing the same business day (Mon–Fri, U.S. public holidays excluded). Later orders begin the next business day.
Note for fashion: Apparel‑only orders usually clear processing quickly and may arrive faster than the baseline windows below, depending on destination and carrier capacity.

All totals are displayed and charged in USD at checkout before you pay. (For your convenience we may show an estimated local‑currency preview, but the amount charged is in USD.) Shipping is free ($0) on all eligible orders to the destinations below.

Furniture specifics
Solid‑wood furniture is bulky and heavy. Carriers often use dimensional weight, and larger tables typically require LTL freight with a liftgate and cargo insurance. Multi‑item orders may ship in more than one box to reduce the risk of damage—no extra charge for split shipments. Where helpful, boxes are grouped on one pallet to protect edges and corners. Shayatee subsidizes the full cost of reinforced packing, careful handling, and freight so that you see a single, final total at checkout.
Taxes & Duties (International Orders)
For international orders to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, and Canada, Shayatee ships Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)—import taxes, VAT/GST, and customs processing are included in your checkout total. The carrier should not collect payment on delivery. If DDP isn’t available for your address or cart, we’ll show this at checkout before you place the order—and we still cover any import charges that apply.
If anyone unexpectedly asks for payment at the door, do not pay—contact Shayatee and we’ll resolve the carrier issue.
Delivery Options for Heavy Items (Included on Request)
If you need added convenience, we can arrange at no additional charge where available:

Processing & Dispatch
Most orders move into final checks and packing within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, U.S. public holidays excluded). Orders placed before 2:00 PM ET usually begin processing the same business day; later orders start the next business day.
Pre‑order or made‑to‑order furniture ships after completion—your order confirmation includes the estimated ship‑by date. If an item in the cart has a different lead time, Shayatee may ship available items first or hold to ship together—your order confirmation will state which method applies. Fashion items in a mixed order may ship first if ready.

Tracking Your Order
When an order leaves the workshop and staging area at 8201 13th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11228, we email a shipping confirmation with your tracking number and a direct tracking link.
Tracking may take 24–72 hours to show movement—especially on international routes while customs scans are pending. Freight tracking may show “label created” until the carrier assigns the order to a local terminal. If there’s no update after 72 hours, contact Shayatee and we’ll check with the carrier. Parcel tracking for fashion generally updates more quickly.
If Something Goes Wrong
Please inspect the package as soon as it arrives.
Damage: Contact Shayatee within 72 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos or a short video showing the outer box, inner packing, and affected areas. Note obvious damage with the driver when possible and keep all packaging until next steps are confirmed. We’ll arrange a replacement, repair kit, or part—including all associated shipping/collection costs—at no cost to you.
Loss or no movement: If a parcel shows no movement for more than 7 days, or is not delivered within 14 business days after shipping, reach out to us. Once the carrier confirms loss, we’ll send a replacement or issue a full refund—no extra charges.
Missed or changed appointments: If you need to reschedule, or if a freight appointment is missed, we cover any carrier re‑delivery, storage, or re‑route fees. Just tell us and we’ll handle it with the carrier.
We will never ask you to pay carrier fees, customs charges, or appointment costs to receive an order you’ve already paid for.
Order Changes & Cancellations
An order that has not begun processing or shipped may be canceled; please notify Shayatee as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of purchase. After an order is processed and handed to the carrier, cancellation is not available. After delivery, please use the Return & Refund Policy.
Need to change the address? Contact Shayatee anytime. Before shipping, we update it right away. After shipping, we’ll request a carrier re‑route; any re‑route or re‑label fees are covered by us (delivery may be delayed while the carrier updates the label).
For international orders to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, and Canada, cancellation is not available once the shipment has cleared customs; if a change is needed at that stage, contact us and we’ll cover any carrier handling to achieve the best solution available.
